Alchemical Spagryic Process Demonstration for Herbals
This is an annual festival to be held this year at the, Glastonbury Institute of Sustainable Living, in northern Indiana, near Culver - and within 100 miles of Chicago.
I'll be presenting my practical plant alchemy introduction, and spagyrics demostration, for this herbal education event - including some alchemy astrology instruction. 12 years ago I taught a weekend intensive for the old Chicago College of Healing Arts, now the Glastonbury Institute of Sustainable Living, run by Althea Northage-Orr. It will be great to see them all again.

Historical information:
In many parts of the world, the evening entertainment routinely consists of watching the Stars at night. No internet, no TV, no radio, no books, just Stars and the Moon. Thousand of years of observation brought forth the idea that maybe the stars were indicators of earthly concerns. There seemed to be an association between the wandering stars, the Moon, and human interactions.
Definition:
Astrology doesn't tell us our destiny, it simply shows us a personality map of advantages, balances, and challenges.
It's entirely up to us if we want to intuitively apply this information to our present understanding of our lives.
Description:
This class is based on Alchemy Astrology [1], the original roots of modern pop-astrology.
Learn how to complete a basic star chart for your date of birth. Subjects covered include the theoretical origins of astrology and how it developed into the science of its time. Discover how astrology can serve as a beginning point for a better, more intuitive understanding of yourself and others.

Today, some of the ancient astrological observations regarding personality are supported scientifically using domestic canine puppies as the volunteer subjects. [2] This eliminates the need to factor allowances for prior training, hypnotic suggestion, or placebo affects.

Alchemy, the precursor to today's chemistry, reveals the ancient theory that led to the concentration and preservation of herbal remedies. You'll learn the difference between, making crude tinctures such as those available at health food stores, and creating alchemical spagyric tinctures. The word spagyric means to separate, purify and recombine, the three parts inherent in all matter: spirit (alcohol), body (plant matter), soul (essential oil). This class will teach you how to make an essential spagyric tincture on a budget, using common kitchen items.

Alchemy: Philosophy of Alchemy; related to yoga/kundalini

The ancient alchemists used clay vessels, but today alchemical preparations can be made with common kitchen items such as jars, and steel or ceramic pans. You will learn the various methods of creating potent herbal remedies that don't require an investment in expensive glassware. [Tim, Sat. 11:10]
Satsang: This was an opportunity to ask questions about meditation, awakening and enlightenment from the point of view of one who has experienced ordinary awakening and has learned to integrate this awareness into modern life. Enlightenment isn't only for 'those who deserve it', and it doesn't mean you'll become all wise and powerful, it's much more simple and easily available than we are taught to believe. Timothy A. Wilkerson has practiced meditation since 1970 and has taught meditative techniques ever since. He also shares his experience, and facilitates interactive talks on the aspects of awakening. Also known as, enlightenment, or scientifically as, a Persistent Non Symbolic Experience (PNSE), he talks about how awakening is available to everyone who is ready to learn. [Tim, Fri. 2pm]

Timothy A. Wilkerson was invited to teach a breakout session titled, How To Make An Astrology Chart For Laboratory Work. It was here that he was asked to write a handbook on the subject. It was published in 2011.

Alchemy Class: Weekend intensive, how to prepare herbal spagyrics including practical laboratory instruction.
For Natal Charts, I combine two types of astrology, Tropical and Sidereal, with emphasis on the Sidereal. Then I add in the individual Star influences. It's a much more accurate reading that way. It's good to remember that the influences that imprint on us at the time of birth don't determine our destiny. It's our choice to manifest which influences we want express. With that in mind, it's beneficial to know what our natural advantages, balances and challenges, are. Astrology is very helpful in pursuing the "Know Thyself" path.
