Further studies indicate that Nettles can play a role in stimulating white blood cells, aiding coagulation, and supporting the formation of hemoglobin in red blood cells.

German scientists are currently studying Nettles as a treatment for prostate cancer and the Russians are testing it as an aid to resolving cholecystitis (inflamed gall bladder) and jaundice. The leaves have been approved for use in Germany as supportive treatment of rheumatism and kidney infections while root preparations are approved for symptomatic relief of urinary difficulties associated with early stages of benign prostate hypertrophy (B.P.H., or nonmalignant swelling of the prostate) in men over 50 year of age.

Please note that Nettles have been known to produce mild allergic reactions in individuals prone to such sensitivities, and should always be used with this in mind.
